Led the post Silicon SoC System Validation efforts including lab operations with test plan development, building automation infrastructure, chip bring up, running regressions across PVT and stability testing across chip revisions.

Lead the efforts to setup the Validation Lab infrastructure, automating it, creating proper cross functional department communication with proper documentation, inventory and daily status updates to higher management. This resulted in reaching our targets of completing validation cycles of each chip within 6 months reaching MTBI goals and early bug detection.

• System Validation: Developed the Test Plan including goals, timeline, hardware & software requirements, test conditions & resources. Ran SoC test cases to identify potential issues and root cause any failure/ silicon issues.

• Regressions: Ran nightly regressions for different combinations of SoC chip processes, voltages and temperatures. Worked with design/ debug teams triaging the failures on a bug tracking tool. Then ran regressions to reproduce & isolate test/ silicon bugs

• Automation Infrastructure Development: Developed the automation infrastructure in Python & C along with bench automation. It would set the configuration parameters, boot the validation OS, kick off test apps, monitor the execution, gather results & logs. It would parse them to analyze/give debug data.

• Chip bring Up : Worked on chip bring up, ensuring that after power on smooth boot process and that the OS is ported properly. Developed firmware and made changes to Boot-Code/bootloaders for bringup issues

• Parameter Analysis: Measured parameters across VT(Vmin) & collected data across stations using Python, appropriate tools/equipments. Ran tests for Power Management and Mixed Signal IC’s using HardwarePix

• Status Reporting : Created daily coverage tracking and characterization reports, documenting results using sharepoint to present to higher management. Developed methodology for automation of failure anaylsis

• Lab Management : Led the lab operations including validation infrastructure setup with inventory management across parts, boards, host machines, iso-chillers, lab equipments like logic analyzer & oscilloscopes and debug tools like HardwarePix, HDT
